Sustainable Office Design Seminar Launched

Office transformation specialist Morgan Lovell has organised a seminar designed to inspire business leaders to ‘go green.’

The company is inviting property, facilities and business managers to its own headquarters in Noel Street, London, to show how a traditional 1960s office building can be transformed for the 21st Century.

‘Sustainable Office Design and Fit Out: A Case Study’ takes place on Wednesday, May 14.

The seminar is designed for businesses faced with incorporating sustainability into office design and fit out projects or who are uncertain about how to meet the challenge of ‘green’ regulations and standards.

Morgan Lovell is using its own headquarters as a real-life case study after carrying-out its own recent refurbishment.

Work at the Noel Street office achieved the highest BREEAM environmental assessment score in the UK to date. The project was one of just two of its kind in the country to achieve an “Excellent” rating from assessors.

Delegates at the seminar will be given the opportunity to tour the site to assess the effectiveness of the environmentally friendly products used in the refurbishment and explore the costs and the payback times.

The step-by-step seminar will also explore how to build sustainability into office design, significantly reduce future energy bills through sustainability; meet Government targets and get a high BREEAM rating as well as making the project carbon neutral.

Andrew Bradley, managing director of Morgan Lovell, said: “The seminar will be packed with good advice for anyone overseeing an office design, office fit out or office refurbishment, or anyone responsible for sustainability or the reduction of energy bills.

“The event also gives a unique opportunity to see how the theory was put into practice by Morgan Lovell on the company’s own office fit out

Two sessions are being held in the morning and afternoon. The early session is fully booked but places are available on the later event which runs from 2pm to 4.15pm.

Places can be booked by visiting http://www.morganlovell.com/events or by telephoning 01462 490 609.
